Remove a member from a number of groups in a single action

Posted May 16th, 2013

This is often the way things go: one of our developers came up with a ‘missing’ piece of functionality:

When requesting Foreign Domain Group memberships via the menu option by rightclicking one or more users, it could be useful to be able to remove the user from all these groups in a single action instead of having to open up all groups and removing the user per group. SupDuck

The option to remove a member from a number of groups in a single action has been added. Select multiple groups, right click and choose ‘MembershipsRemove a Member form these Groups’.

It is incorporated in our latest build, 3.0.2.9, which can be downloaded from our website.

And, we are going to provide the option to have all memberships listed in the “MemberOf interface”, so, basically, to show all memberships across all domains, and make these memberships adjustable across all domains.

We have yet to decide whether we will enforce this as default, or as settable option via a profile.   Before we decide this, we have to analyze workloads and timings in large environments (we have contacted a customer with 64 domains for beta testing). We hope to be able to offer this build somewhere at the end of next week.

What do you guys thinks? Give us feedback please…Default or Option?
